Calming Formula for Dogs

My Four Legged Family
Once upon a time.....  ok, this is not a fairy tale but starts out as one.  Several years ago, I decided I wanted to save the world....  one poor homeless dog at a time.  At one point, I had 4 small dogs and they were all vying for my attention.  I finally realized I couldn't save them all!  So I ended up keeping two Pomeranians that I had rescued. ( I also have two pits that are rescues, as well)

Buckwheat was a 14 ounce little black beauty with a puff of hair on the top of his head.  He was so small we weren't sure he was even gonna make it.  I drove six hours to pick him up and it's been worth every mile.  He has grown into a fat little chunk, very well behaved and a model pet.

Then, of course, any every family you have that hard headed child that bounces off the wall.  Meet Charley!  Charley is a little white Pomeranian that looks like a little snowball.  Poor Charley was a rescue from a family with small kids.  He had a broken leg from one of the kids playing too rough with him.  They realized he was too tiny for their family and gave him up.  I stepped in, rescued him and gave him a loving home.

Fast forward several months.......  We were playing fetch, he got under my feet and I stepped on him.  Yes, full weight on his back.  It was a horrible situation but he survived with two broken pelvic bones and an $1800 vet bill and many many tears.
Calming Formula for Dogs

The point of all this story is to tell you about a calming formula for dogs.  Charley was injured and had to be babied to the point of SPOILED!  He slept in a crib in my room for eight weeks, had to be carried out to the bathroom and became a little demanding.  Now he is a hyper little shit that bounces off the walls, barks at everything from someone walking on 'his' street to a leaf blowing in the driveway.  He is a sweetheart but needed to CALM down.  This formula works wonders! has been a life saver.  I give him a half a pill in the mornings and half at night and it helps to calm him a bit.  It doesn't make him sleepy or lethargic like he's drugged, just sort of a calming effect that takes the edge off.  I didn't try it during storms or travel because he doesn't have an issue with those; however, when we have company he goes nuts.  Calming Formula for Dogs has been a life saver for us and I think we might keep Charley around for a long long time.

I know there are animals who have a fear of thunderstorms or those who don't travel well and I think that Calming Formula for Dogs would be the perfect solution.  It takes the edge off without drugging the dog.  It works wonders for my family and my little hyper baby.

PS...  Charley doesn't play fetch or get under my feet anymore and it's been five years since his accident. He does chase the pits and his brother and basically is the alpha dog around here.  When you meet him, you'd never know he has a plate in one hip and five screws in the other.  He is still mama's baby.

**Disclaimer......  I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This post is my opinion and mine alone.  I am not affiliated in any way with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social network but do have an account with each of them to share my opinions.

Dress United

Have you ever had those events where you wish that you could have shirts made that matched?  You know the ones where all your crazy friends have some saying or picture that is perfect for your little group.  I've found a company that prints whatever you want on a t-shirt, sweatshirt or long sleeve shirt.  Dress United is an awesome company that will customize your shirts.

I wanted something with long sleeves that wasn't baggy and sloppy so I ordered the fashion long sleeve.  It's very fitted, made of 100% fine ring-spun combed cotton.  It's very lightweight and great quality.  Above you can see the front.  It's a classic shirt and will last me a long time.

The order process was so easy.  I chose the type of shirt and size and then uploaded the image I wanted on the back.  I was able to choose color of shirt, style and colors for the lettering.  Prices are great for the quality you receive.  They also email you a copy of your customized shirt just as an extra check that you have placed all graphics and lettering exactly the way you want it!

These shirts would be the bomb for family reunions, fund raising groups, children's events, or just for a group of girls going out for a good time.  Dress United has an above and beyond customer service, quick shipping and unparalleled quality.  Order one for yourself today or for your group with the discount coupon below!

SEE!  I told you they are an awesome company!  Go to Dress United Discount Code and enter the code BLOG30OFF4U.  This code will give you 30% off your purchase PLUS free shipping!!!

Boston Marathon Ends in Sadness

My heart goes out to those affected by the bombs at the Boston Marathon.  What should have been a day of celebration, a day of accomplishment, a day of rejoicing for goals that were set and achieved ended in a day of sadness.

It seems that every station on every channel of every television is showing the above picture.  This man lost a son in Iraq and recently a son to suicide.  When all hell broke loose at the finish line of the Boston Marathon, he ran TOWARDS the confusion....  He ran to help!   This gives me hope in the human race again.  Even though there are those who wish to harm others, you always find the people who want to help.  This man risked his own life in order to help others.  We have to hang on that hope.

It's like a bad train wreck!  I want so bad to turn the tv to happier, comedy shows but I can't seem to let it go.  I see the face of the little boy who was killed.  I see the runners who should have been rejoicing in a feat that most of us will never even attempt.  These people should have been celebrating.  Instead they were searching the crowds for their loved ones.  They were heartbroken to see the destruction caused by some, at this time, unknown evil wicked person.

Even if you are not religious, lower your head and think of those affected by this tragedy. Be thankful for your loved ones and give them an extra hug tonight.  We live in a cruel world but if you look hard enough, you can find some good in some people.  Hold on to that.  Extend your hand to help those less fortunate and in the wake of disaster, it will bring you some peace to know that we are not all evil.

May each of you find something to be thankful for today.  May you each receive that extra hug, that extra sunshine and that extra love that each of us are so deserving of.  Did this affect you the way it did me?  I hope so and I hope it makes you thankful for all the things we take for granted.  God bless.........

The Juppy Walker

I love doing reviews of new products and the juppy baby walker is no exception.  I received a blue Juppy Walker for review purposes.  My grandson is six months old and not ready to walk yet but is standing if you hold him.

The juppy walker makes it easier on Gamma to hold him without having to stoop over.  The long handles make it so I could stand up to let him try out his little legs.  The Juppy Walker gives him more support and steadies him so he can learn what he is supposed to do with those little legs.

Since his arms are free and he had additional support, he was better able to move his feet in the right direction. I love this and so will you! You can find additional information and some other videos at The Juppy walker is very sturdy with buckles to adjust for size. The carrying case is very well made and is a nice addition when you want to carry it with you to the park or if you travel. I was very pleased with the Juppy Walker and know that my Brantley will use it for many months.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Redneck Crafts

Redneck Crafts
Red Solo Cup Art
More Red Solo Cup
I have a few friends that meet several times a year for fun and festivities. We recently went to Gatlinburg, TN  and we always find things to keep us busy.  This time one of our friends brought Red Solo Cups and crafts to decorate them to suit our personalities.  We had a blast making those cups but the memories will last much longer, I'm sure.

One-sies for Gracyn
Above are some onesies that were made at a baby shower.  The hostess bought 3-packs of small sizes of plain white onesies and some iron-on transfers.  Instead of playing games, we made these neat outfits that baby Gracyn could wear for several months after she was born.  Again, our redneck crafts made beautiful memories for both mama and baby.

Teens Redneck Crafts
My bestie visited recently with a house full of teenagers.  We all know that they will find something to keep them occupied.  Why not use that boredom for creative projects?  This is on my front porch with their craft projects.

Sometimes, it's not about what you do or what you create and more of the memories you are making while doing these redneck crafts.  Come on!  Grab some fun and make some memories!  Don't forget THAT camera!
