Squeaky Shoes

Have you ever bought the perfect shoes? The ones that fit just right, match a ton of stuff in your wardrobe and are the most comfortable that you have ever had on your happy feet? Then one day you are walking through the office and it sounds like a mouse is hiding in one of your shoes. It gets so bad, the office is joking about you not being able to sneak up on anyone. Well, this recently happened to me. I bought a pair of crogs clogs with the fur lining. Loved those shoes but when they started to squeak, it was down right embarrassing to wear them.

Ok, don't leave me........  I found a solution!
I couldn't stand the squeak anymore and had worn the shoes too much to take them back.  I did a google search and came up with many different ideas from many people.  One lady recommended trying lotion (yes, regular hand or body lotion) Put the lotion all in the inside and outside of the shoe and let it dry or put the lotion on bare feet and walk in the shoes for a while.  This would give the lotion a chance to soak into the squeaky shoes.  A few people said to try talc or baby powder.  Now, I didn't try the lotion but I did try the baby powder and I still sounded like a pack of mouses (yes, I know, and yes, I mean a whole pack) fighting to get out of my shoes.

Now, what I did use was WD40.  I was ready to throw the dang things in the garbage so I was ready to try just about anything.  I used the little straw thingy and sprayed all the nooks and crannies of the inside and outside of both shoes.  I let them sit for a few days so my feet didn't smell like oil!  Oh, well wooo hoooo!!!
It worked like a charm.  I am now so happy with my new shoes again!!!  Try it, it really works...  Yep, spray them liberally with WD40.  Who knew????
