Noxicare Review

I am such a skeptic!  When I received this product to review I really wasn't expecting too much.  Well, the morning after I received the product, I woke up with a crick in my neck.  Instead of reaching for my normal naproxen (Aleve) or ibuprofen, I decided to try the Noxicare.  Within a little while, I forgot all about my neck.  Well, that is until later in the day when I took an afternoon nap and woke up with the pain again.  The directions say one capsule 2-3 times a day so I reached for another one.  It did the trick in no time flat.  I was thrilled since this is an all natural product, did not upset my stomach and stopped the pain.

Noxicare also comes in a non-greasy creme that works for arthritis or sore muscles and I certainly intend to try that product, as well.  As we get older we tend to have those little quirky aches and pains associated with muscles, joints and nerves.  If you are like me, you hate taking medication so you look for alternatives that provide relief using natural ingredients.

The ingredients in Noxicare are listed below:
I looked up each of these ingredients to see exactly what I was taking and am showing my findings beside each ingredient and the site I found this info.  Lots of webmd information because I use and trust them.

Turmeric Extract:  anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory with no stomach upset, anti-viral and anti-fungal and inhibits joint inflamation (

Willow Bark Extract: Willow Bark acts a lot like aspirin, sit it is sued for pain, including heachache, muscle pain, cramps, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout and certain spine disorders (

Holy Basil Extract:  used for treatment of the common cold, flu, diabetes, asthma, bronchitus, heart issues and decreases pain and swelling (

Rosemary Extract:  potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.  a natural preservative that strengthens capillaries and protects against free radical damage to DNA (

Alpha Lipoic Acids:  made by the body and found in every cell. Helps diabetic neuropathy, helps lower blood sugar levels (

Ginger Extract:  used for stomach upset, nausea and vomiting (

Boswellia Extract:  a traditional medicine of India.  Used to treat arthritis, ulerative colitis, asthma, coughs and menstrual cramps (

The unique formula for Noxicare was developed by a Harvard trained Pain Management Specialist who practices in Washington, DC.  His name is Reza Ghorbani, MD,ABIPP,FIPP  (wow, not sure what all that alphabet soup stands for but I'm sure it's relevant)

Anyway, I'm hooked.  I will now trade in my old stand-by pain relievers for my new Noxicare.

*Disclaimer:  The opinions of this review are my own, Tiny Tidbits of an NC Diva!  I received a bottle of 60 capsules so that I could write an honest review.  The stuff worked and I'm hooked!  I am in no way affiliated with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or any other social network though I do share my opinions and reviews on those sights, as I do have an account with each one.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee

In January of 2013, I had the opportunity to meet 7 other women in Gatlinburg, TN.  I was joined by two girls from Florida, one who had never seen snow, two from Alabama, one from Mississippi, one from Virginia and one from Colorado.  What an adventure!  The great smokey mountains are proof of God's greatness.  I'll leave out some of the events where we were higher'n a Georgia pine and focus on the things to do and the great places we were able to find.

First of all, it was snowing to beat the band by the time I got to Asheville, NC, by car.  Now, I'm a beach girl so mountain terrain is not familiar to me.  After many hours of travel (should have only been 4), we had to get the 'snow-plow' guy to come down the mountain and get me and deposit me safely at our cabin.

Gatlinburg, TN has so much to offer the vacationer.  The snow stopped the next morning and we were able to visit the downtown area and see the riverwalk.  There's lots of shopping and restuarants in the quaint little town and I think we stopped in every one of them.  There was a cheerleader conference and a church conference so it was a hopping little place.

eShakti Blouse Review

If you are not familiar with eShakti, it's an online clothing store that sells the most fashionable clothing for women!  They have some many different styles and colors of dresses, shirts or blouses, skirts, jackets and cardigans.  They have long sleeves, short sleeves, cap sleeves and no sleeves.  If you don't like the one shown, you can just change it to what you like!

When I was contacted by eShakti to choose an item and do a review I was thrilled.  This is the second review I've had the pleasure of being part of.  My first one is here, if you are interested in reading about the gorgeous dress.  eShakti Dress Review and Giveaway.....

Now, what I did differently this time is I did some custom ordering.  One of the great things about eShakti is that they have sizes  from 0 to 36W and you can customize it to your shape, style and body!  Are you long-waisted and need a little extra length?  Do you love the style of the blouse or shirt but hate cap sleeves like is shown?  You can change that.  You can send exact measurements, change the sleeve length or the tail length.  See what I did to the one I ordered.

eShakti has very good quality, stylish choices and customization!  Right now, if you are a new member and sign up on their website, you get a $25 credit on your first order.  Well, what are you waiting for???

Witch Doctoring Mama Style

I have often accused my mother of being a witch doctor.  She uses the old timey cures but most everything.  When we were little her medicine chest consisted of mercurochrome (a nasty orangey antiseptic that burns like a saw blade), Granma’s liniment (a green concoction that reeks of alcohol and would be a big hit on St. Paddy's Day) and many other of my mama’s weird remedies.

As I’ve gotten older, I find myself giving my son some of that same advice.  “Yes, warm some sweet oil in a cup of hot water and put it in your ear and put a cotton ball in it”.  It’ll cure that earache by morning.  Got a boil or a bump that won’t come to the surface?  Forget that expensive boil remedy sold at the pharmacy!  Go get a piece of fat back and strap it to your leg or whatever part of your body the boil is on.  If it’s a pimple that won’t come up, put a dab of toothpaste on it and by morning, it will either be gone or as big as the end of my thumb!

A bad cold was treated with honey and lemon (yea, I know….  Today I add the whiskey but mama would never have approved of THAT)  And castor oil!  Who remembers the castor oil?  You didn’t dare tell anyone you had tummy problems but out would come that awful stuff!  When I was about two weeks overdue with my son, mama even gave me castor oil to help me go into labor.  Does it work?  Heck if I know, I was two weeks overdue for heaven sakes.  Drinking anything would have sent me hightailing to the hospital faster than green grass through a goose!

So what did you use as a home remedy?  Do you still use them?  I often think of all these things when I read articles about fish oil being good for your heart or cinnamon being a cholesterol lowering agent or that it can help with brain power.

As for now, I’ll continue to call mama and ask what to do about certain things.  And since she is still my ‘witch doctor’, she will give me some off the wall remedy to cure what ails me.

Squeaky Shoes

Have you ever bought the perfect shoes? The ones that fit just right, match a ton of stuff in your wardrobe and are the most comfortable that you have ever had on your happy feet? Then one day you are walking through the office and it sounds like a mouse is hiding in one of your shoes. It gets so bad, the office is joking about you not being able to sneak up on anyone. Well, this recently happened to me. I bought a pair of crogs clogs with the fur lining. Loved those shoes but when they started to squeak, it was down right embarrassing to wear them.

Ok, don't leave me........  I found a solution!
I couldn't stand the squeak anymore and had worn the shoes too much to take them back.  I did a google search and came up with many different ideas from many people.  One lady recommended trying lotion (yes, regular hand or body lotion) Put the lotion all in the inside and outside of the shoe and let it dry or put the lotion on bare feet and walk in the shoes for a while.  This would give the lotion a chance to soak into the squeaky shoes.  A few people said to try talc or baby powder.  Now, I didn't try the lotion but I did try the baby powder and I still sounded like a pack of mouses (yes, I know, and yes, I mean a whole pack) fighting to get out of my shoes.

Now, what I did use was WD40.  I was ready to throw the dang things in the garbage so I was ready to try just about anything.  I used the little straw thingy and sprayed all the nooks and crannies of the inside and outside of both shoes.  I let them sit for a few days so my feet didn't smell like oil!  Oh, well wooo hoooo!!!
It worked like a charm.  I am now so happy with my new shoes again!!!  Try it, it really works...  Yep, spray them liberally with WD40.  Who knew????
